CHEROKEE WISDOM

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

What Is Spiritual Health? ayahuasca consciousness

In today’s culture, the concept of Spirit has been scientifically removed from our belief system. Only through the study of other, much older cultures have we been reminded of what our ancestors knew to be the “truth”. Religion, cultural dis association from the natural world and modernization of societies has changed that belief system of “truth” to ritual of words with no meaning.

What our ancestors and these ancient cultures knew is that Spirit is real. This Spirit within each of us is capable of much more than we could ever imagine, and by encountering it through the use of Ayahuasca we are learning about our deeper selves. We can begin to expand the boundaries of our true potential, to gain the power to heal ourselves. An intimate connection is made with the Divine through this healing modality.

Many physical and emotional sicknesses are the result of a disharmony within ourselves. Something is wounded in within our soul, and it has manifested into a condition that shows up emotionally or as a physical ailement. By treating the body, the affliction can only be maintained, but not cured, like cutting a weed that grows back a short time later.

Consciously working with the Spirit, however, can allow an individual to discover the root of an illness and to pull up these roots and alleviate their own suffering. Spirit can manifest illness and it can manifest pure joy. The power lies in the belief of our intentions and our willingness to surrender to what we can never know, but can feel within our own beings.

Born Visionaries: prayer / poetry

December 28th, 2007 velvetfont Posted in Daily Tips, Emotions, General, Global Consciousness, Global News, Hot Show Topics, Lifestyle, Mind, Spirit, Spiritual Afterlife, Spiritual Health, Sustainable Resourse, Uncategorized, Weekly Features, Women, culture, earth, health No Comments »

True vision is a lot more than goal-setting or becoming more resourceful and innovative. Vision begins by gathering information through the senses about what currently is. To this is added the mind’s imagination of what can be and the heart’s wisdom about who we are and how we are called to dance with each other.

The wisdom of the heart is crucial to vision because our hearts are the source of our deepest values, passions, and connections to others. There’s no conflict in our hearts between ourselves and others. Instead, there’s the clarity, the humility and compassion we need to confront our dreams, needs and shortcomings while we deal effectively with the needs, dreams and shortcomings of others.

When we see clearly from our hearts, we discover our purpose and can envision many ways to fulfill it. We become more resourceful and creative, better able to inspire effective teamwork. We can see hope inside despair, direction in the midst of chaos, options inside challenges.

Becoming the visionaries we were born to be is not a problem that can be solved but a mystery that must be experienced. Like all mysteries, vision comes alive in ways that are unique to each person and situation. Thus, whenever we ask How can I [my company] become more visionary? the answer is more often found through prayer or poetry than textbooks or logical thinking.

While visionary development can never be reduced to recipes or rules, the following guidelines may be helpful, particularly if they are adapted freely.

Creating A Healing Society

December 1st, 2007 velvetfont Posted in Body, Death, Emotions, General, Global Consciousness, Global News, Hot Show Topics, Lifestyle, Mind, Spirit, Spiritual Afterlife, Spiritual Health, Uncategorized, biodiversity, health No Comments »

Recently Amy Greeson and Bethany Staffieri , hosts of the internet radio talk show “Global Healing“, interviewed Dr. Susan Lawrence who is Founder and Executive Director of the Catalyst Foundation.

Creating A Healing Society workshops illustrate the dramatic impact on society when an enormous number of individuals unconsciously re-enact
their experiences of trauma, abuse, or lack of healthy support in self-destructive or anti-social ways: that the cumulative result
of these pain-driven behaviors can be seen in our violent and crime-ridden society; in unemployment, homelessness and
poverty; in the ongoing cycle of child abuse and neglect; and in the epidemics of AIDS, Hepatitis C, drug addition and
alcoholism.

The workshops empower participants to utilize this new information and awareness to make positive change for
themselves and for others in society.

The body has death, but not the soul.

He who lives the inner life knows that death is truly his resting-room. To him, death is anything but extinction. It is a meaningful departure. When our consciousness is divinely transformed, the necessity of death will not arise at all. To transform life, we need Peace, Light, Bliss and Power. We cry for these divine qualities. They cry for our aspiration. They are equally anxious to grant us everlasting life. But until our body, vital, mind, heart and soul aspire together, the divine Power, Light, Bliss and Peace cannot possess us
